Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation members dedicate their time and resources to ensuring elk and other wildlife have healthy habitat to depend on. All across the country, we can see the results as habitat is improved and elk populations grow.
But the hard work we all put in today means nothing without a commitment from the next generation. So the Elk Foundation continues to increase its focus on conservation education programs, like the Wildlife Leadership Awards.
These scholarships, given annually to outstanding wildlife sciences students, help encourage future leaders in wildlife-related fields. Since its inception in 1991, the RMEF has given out 117 scholarships, totaling $171,000, and we have hired two past winners.
All of the winners have proven they are dedicated to wildlife and can serve as leaders when it comes to wildlife conservation.
