Members and Friends of the Maryland Chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation,
The Maryland Chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF) is pleased
to announce the date for its Sixteenth Annual Grand Fundraising Event and Auction.
This event continues to be the Largest Hunting and Conservation event in Maryland.
Due to the enormous response last year, we urge you to buy your tickets early.

Don’t delay, tables will be filled first come, first serve, and they are
already selling out fast! We have been planning this banquet since the day after
last year’s banquet, and this one is sure to be the best ever! Because
of last year’s time crunch, we have added an additional hour to the banquet!
We have already received exclusive merchandise that you will only see at the
Maryland Chapter Banquet, so don’t delay! Once again, more than 50 guns
will be raffled off during our event!

Our Premier 16TH Anniversary event is scheduled for Saturday, August 23rd, 2008. Doors open promptly at 10:30 am. We have been working diligently in order to make your experience a lasting one. This year, we are once again offering our famous All You Can Eat Bull and Shrimp Feast that includes free beer and sodas. The highlights of the extensive menu include Maryland Steamed Shrimp, “Pit-Style” Blue Ribbon Beef, Bar-B-Que Pork Ribs, Italian Meatballs, Shredded Beef Bar-B-Que, Bar-B-Que Maryland Chicken, Hotdogs, Numerous Delicious Soups, and Salads, Cole Slaw, a “Fabulous Fresh Salad Bar” and much more. Food will be served from 10:30 am until 1:30 PM.
During our event over 10 raffles and a Silent Auction will be occurring. Our annual LIVE AUCTION will be held and as usual it will be loaded with fantastic hunts, original art work, and family vacations to benefit our wildlife resources. The auction and other festivities will be completed by 4:30 pm.
We have an INCREDIBLE selection of raffle and auction items, including an exclusive
“Original Painting,” wildlife art prints, bronze sculptures and
many first class hunts from all across the nation and the world!!! This year,
our chapter once again features many outstanding hunts and trips such as an
African Safari, two Rocky Mountain Elk hunts (Montana archery; Wyoming archery
or rifle), Wyoming Mule Deer hunt archery or rifle, a Prime Rut Fulton County
Illinois Trophy Whitetail Deer muzzleloader and archery hunt, Manitoba Bear
and Wolf Hunt, new this year a Wyoming Mountain Lion Hunt, a 7 day Florida vacation,
a 5 day Montana Vacation, a PBR Finals vacation package in Las Vegas, a Puerto
Vallarta Sailfish Trip, and last but not least an exclusive very limited Kentucky
Bull Elk tag, and the list goes on and on. Specific hunt and vacation information

Tickets may be ordered through the mail by completing the attached “Banquet Ticket Application.” By purchasing your tickets early, (Prior to August 1st) you will also receive this outstanding deal on your general raffle tickets: 2 for the price of 1. Early Bird General Raffle tickets must be purchased in $100 increments. Each $100 increment will give you: 10 General Raffle Tickets (which includes 40 General Raffle stubs and 10 Bonus Raffle stubs, and – 2 Upper Tier Raffle Tickets with 6 stubs. Get them now to double your number of Prime Upper Tier Tickets. “The Upper Tier Raffle” includes Thirty (30) firearms, and 5 pieces of fine jewelry. All tickets will be held at the door.
Based on what we have learned from inquiries, in order to reserve a full table of ten, the tickets for all ten must be forwarded in full, as a group, at one time.

From I-95 southbound to Baltimore – Take exit 67A toward U.S. Rte 40 (Route
43). Follow Rt. 43 till you get to Rt. 40. At the light, turn left onto Rt.
40 (Pulaski Hwy) and travel approx. 2.7 miles, “Martin’s”
will be on your right.
From I-695 – take I-695 to Exit 35B, Rt. 40 east to Aberdeen. Martin’s
is located 1.5 miles on the left.

can provide directions from anywhere you are coming from.

Special Note:
July at Bass Pro Shops has been designated Elk Country Conservation Month. A special Raffle will be available for all shoppers for an excellent elk hunt and other prizes. Your Maryland Chapters will be manning a booth at the Arundel Mills Mall on Saturdays and Sundays in July. Come in and see us and thank Bass Pro Shops for their great support!!!
The Maryland Chapter will be available during Bass Pro’s Fall Classic on 2, 3, 9, and 10 August 2008. We’ll be displaying merchandise, including guns, and will have live auction hunt information available.
The Maryland Chapter will also be available at Autumn Sky Outfitter’s Fall Hunting Expo in mid August 2008 in Street, MD on Route 1, in Harford County. We hope to see you there!

In 2008 the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation will be offering a Buck Skinner Knife to all new and renewing members that attend a Big Game Banquet. All New or Renewing members attending our 2008 banquet will receive a Buck skinner knife emblazoned with the RMEF logo. This is a great knife suitable for collectors or can be used for the job it was intended, skinning bucks. It has a laminated hardwood handle and two elk hoof prints cut into the tang. This knife is selling on eBay right for $45 and up, and you’ll get it free by renewing or becoming a new member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. One knife permitted for each membership.
